WHO Amberle Elessedil & Liz Evans WHAT Run in WHEN Sunday afternoon WHERE Maurice's WARNINGS TBD, probably none! STATUS Closed | InComplete (8/29) | Match Up
Amberle had avoided town for the better part of a week, but she was in need of clothing and she thought it was about time she ventured into town again. She was slowly beginning to trust that not everyone was an immediate threat to her. Even so, she kept her hair down and her ears hidden as she made her way toward town. The walk was a nice one, despite the heat of the end of summer, and when she made it to town, Amberle ducked into the first store that had women's clothing she was familiar with.
The name of it, Maurice's, meant nothing to her, but the clothing seemed to be nice enough and she had the plastic card that would somehow pay for the items she wanted. The fabrics were different from what she knew, but it wouldn't be too uncomfortable, she thought. She hoped. The sizes were unfamiliar, so she just found things she liked and guessed at which number would fit her best. Once she had a handful of items she wanted, she followed the other women she'd seen go into the 'fitting room' to try the fitting of them. She watched curiously for a few minutes while she waited for a room to open up. Some people exited the fitting room to look at their outfit in a large mirror that was at the other end of where the fitting rooms were. It was an odd set up, but Amberle was grateful for the opportunity to try the outfits on before purchasing them. It would hopefully save her some of the alterations.
After trying everything on, Amberle had misjudged the numbered sizes quite poorly. So she went back to the racks to try to find something that would fit her and found another woman looking through the clothes as well. Not quite ready yet to ask for help, Amberle began looking through the rack next to her, trying to discern what the appropriate number would be for her size.
