Not sure if she believed him, that he really was okay, Riley hesitated. She knew very well just how little people liked even the most well meaning fussing from strangers. But she couldn't help that she cared, worried, about everyone. She didn't have to know them to want them to be happy and healthy.
"Are you sure?" She didn't sound sure herself, of the question, at all. "Maybe you should sit down?"
Maybe she should call an adult? Who, she wasn't sure. Her uncle didn't seem like a good idea; he wouldn't want a call from her wanting to help someone. He wouldn't like that.
