Who: Kristof Nast and OPEN What: Catching up on paperwork When: Tuesday afternoon Where: The library Warnings: None Status: Open/On-going
With Topanga gone, he and Lucas were working... well, it wasn't so much "more than usual" as it was perhaps a little more intensely than usual, to cover everything she'd been handling. Thankfully they were both more than capable at their jobs, so they able to handle things. Kristof was just more than eager to get out of the office for a little while, even if he was still working. Sometimes a change of scenery was all he needed.
Which was exactly why he'd taken over a table in the library -- people were used to seeing him there by now. And he was used to going into a zone, completely losing himself in his work and pretty much completely forgetting anything and everything around him. He'd always been that way, even back when he'd been with the Cabal. That single-minded intensity had served him well then, and it was still serving him well now. Both with work and at home, because it meant he knew how to focus on his wife and his son.
And damn, he adored that kid. Even when Wyatt decided he was far, far more important than work. (Which Kristof totally agreed with, ssh.)
The sound of footsteps only barely registered; it took him a good minute and a half to realize someone had actually approached him and was standing there. He glanced up from his laptop and the file in front of him. "Sorry about that," he said with a slight, sheepish smile. "What can I do for you?"
