Remus wasn't entirely sure what he was getting into, but he was settled with the situation enough to stop thinking about his own confusion and be able to focus on the needs of others. Specifically, the fact that baby Harry was all grown up and had asked him for his help.
How could he possibly refuse? From following the network, he gathered that quite a lot of people had disappeared and he didn't like how sudden it had seemed to happen, nor how deeply disturbing the idea of it was. He'd been brought into a rather chaotic atmosphere, it seemed. Although he hadn't had a lot of it of late, he valued stability in life a great deal, so if he could provide even a small bit of that to someone he cared about, then he would. He didn't feel quite like an adult yet, but he could set aside his own uncertainties for the sake of others quite easily.
He hadn't arrived in Madison Valley with very much, but he had his wand, which for small, domestic purposes like this was more than enough. After clearing the logistics, he made his way over to the address Harry had given him.
He was a little anxious. He was about to meet the son of James and Lily Potter, who had recognized him when he'd posted in the network. That meant he'd known him, at least a little, and he wondered if he'd changed much in the fifteen or so years between them. He thought he must have. There was so much that could happen in that time, he couldn't begin to imagine what life had been like. He wondered what Harry knew of him, or of his parents, given they'd been here. And Sirius. They certainly had a lot to talk about.
Upon arrival, he gave a few polite raps on the door and waited, not knowing quite what to expect.
