WHO: Jace Herondale and OPEN WHAT: Crawdaddy Music WHEN: Tuesday morning WHERE: Crawdaddy Music WARNINGS: Jace? STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Jace was feeling very much more himself than he had in a long time. It had been folly, he realized, to take his defeat as hard as he had. Of course, it was folly that should have been excused by those close to him, as loss and defeat were not things he was terribly familiar with. It had been a novel experience, and while he had no wishes to repeat it with any haste, he could admit to himself that it had happened, and he had made the best of it. He had even, perhaps, learned from it.
Since then, he had been training twice as hard, letting Clary try new runes on him, and trying to find a way to fight an entirely new sort of threat. A man who could control the very elements of the earth was a new thing, and instead of destroying himself over it, Jace had decided to see it as a challenge - a challenge that he would, in time, conquer.
Because he was Jace Herondale, and winning was what Jace Herondale did best. And if he couldn't find a way to defeat Erik, then no other Shadowhunter possibly could.
But training was over for today. He had risen at dawn, gone for an hour run, then spent several hours training around the obstacle course they had set up for themselves. He was feeling good, the soreness telling him he'd trained well. So today, he was going down to the music store in town to look at pianos.
He was well aware that he could not currently afford one, but he also knew that in time he would come up with the money he needed if he decided that it was a priority and set his mind to it. Isabelle and the others were perhaps right when they had chided him earlier about now wanting to obtain a Mundane job - he was rather certain now that he was going to have to, especially if he decided he wanted any sort of a piano.
He stepped inside, and seeing the place was rather crowded, went to check the merchandise out for himself.
