Cesare watched the woman skeptically. Skeptical for no reason other than that she was a woman with knowledge beyond the likes of what most women contained. She claimed to be neither witch nor physician--who claimed to be a witch?--but fell somewhere in the category of science by her own admission. Cesare was neighter botanist nor astronomer, nor alchemist, but the woman's focus was distinctly not on any of those subjects.
Whatever the case, Cesare found it more useful to take her presence in stride. He was still sick, still felt like death though he was no longer on its doorstep, and capable of feeding, showering and sitting up by himself. He reclined on the bed, resting in a small sea of pillows, while he watched Georgia do her work.
"What are you going to put in my mouth?" he asked. He was unfamiliar with the process of collecting saliva, outside of spitting, nor did he see the benefit or insights she'd gain from having it. Or his blood for that matter. If she used it in witch craft it would be license enough to see her burned. Assuming Cesare didn't die, or that others caught her in time upon his death.
"How will you discover illness in my spit?"
