"No, I'm not a ghost," Cassie assured her. There were plenty of people who had tried to make her into a ghost, but so far they had failed. When the girl asked about a healer being near, Cassie gave her a reassuring smile. "The clinic is near, but I'll be all right." She could get Diana to help her with the bruises and pain and if if it was something serious, she'd ask Fela to go to the clinic with her.
"There are a lot of people here who have been here a long time -- not just in this town, but been alive for a long time. So, you're not the only one and maybe some of your friends might be here?" She looked familiar, but Cassie would have known if one of the refugees had suddenly become suicidal from being trapped here.
