This young vampire-523 years was young to Rebekah-certainly knew her way around the idea of flattery. She was saying all the right things to the blond vampire. All the compliments were certainly putting her in a wary way though. This girl knew she was an original and knew that if you wanted to survive an encounter with an original vampire, you played nice. She'd give the young woman props; she was doing a stellar job of it. Self-preservation was a powerful thing and Anna was well aware of that. Regardless, it wasn't like she was much of a threat anyway. Rebekah had years on her and original vampire status to keep the odds ever in her favor. "You keep playing nice and you just might, Anna," she replied quietly. After all, flatter got you everywhere and not just with Rebekah. Rebekah, on the other hand, had never been the suck up type. She'd rather rip out their heart and leave them there to rot in their own blood. Best part? They get to watch it stop bleeding.
"Unfortunately, I've been stuck in Mystic Falls for a year or so. I know a small town. This one just happens to be paranoid as hell," she continued, following the black haired woman from the store, her long stride easily allowing her to keep up with the more petite Anna. "So far my biggest threat has been my brother. My own family. Here, it's strange to find they may be my biggest alley. Most surprising: Nik." She folded her arms upon her chest. No one else ever called him that, but then again, no one ever really called her "Bekah" besides Niklaus. No surprising, the majority of individuals on the street were avoiding the blond anyway they could. Her latest "atrocities" against the majority of the townspeople had spread quickly. Small town always lead to big mouths, didn't it?
Anna was talking about a wizard. A wizard? Fascinating. Those didn't exist in their world. Witches, yes, but wizard? No, never. Even male magic users were called "witches". "A wizard? What is this? Bloody Oz?" Rebekah frowned at the vampire's explanation. And of course the bloody wizard had something against vampires, didn't he? To add to the oddity of it all, his brother was an incubus. How...disgusting. "Sounds like my family is only the tip of the iceberg of screwed up then," she replied. "And you're right little vampire. Don't. I won't either." Perhaps Anna wasn't out to stab her in the back after all. Sharing that bit of information was generous of her. Perhaps this vampire was more than just compliments. "Thank you, for the information. Most would have let me walk into the trouble. Not that I'm frightened. You're right: we are basically unkillable, but magic is rather a pain in the ass." It was rather painful and annoying. Besides the dagger, a witch could spell doom for an original, even Klaus. "If he comes after me, I'll be sure to rip his heart out and save it to show you."
