WHO: Kvothe and OPEN WHAT: Christmas songs by the fountain WHERE By the broadway fountain WHEN: Sunday morning WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Kvothe didn't know what Christmas was, really. He'd read a little about it, and understood that it was something about the birth of the dominant religion's godchild; but he'd never been one to hold to religious mythology, despite the things he'd seen and known. Nonetheless, he'd found the celebratory music alluring, it was softer, less mechanical than the popular music of the time, using more traditional chords and instruments that spoke much more to Kvothe's musical sensibilities.
It hadn't taken him long at all to find the sheet music, and even less time to learn it. It was almost all music for the masses, which on a musical level meant that it was relatively simple and much beneath Kvothe's skill. Still, he liked it, and so did the people he'd played it for in the tavern the night before.
This morning, he'd taken his lute and made his way down to the Broadway fountain. It was a lovely venue where they often had music. There was nobody here at the moment, so it was the perfect place for him to play his newly learned songs.
Beginning with 'It Came Upon a Midnight Clear', he continued to 'Away in A Manger' and 'We Three Kings', before stopping and offering a charming smile to his audience, his sea green eyes twinkling. He bowed deeply, twirling his hand with a flourish before straightening.
