WHO: Annie and OPEN WHAT: Finnick Is Gone WHEN: Friday morning WHERE: By the river WARNINGS: TBD, but she's a bit volatile right now STATUS: Open/Ongoing
When she woke up sometime Friday morning, Annie knew that there was something very wrong. It tugged at her mind like spiders building a web and no matter how she tried, she couldn't get her hands to grab the ends of the web. She sat in the bed for a long time, identifying items in the room. It was own way of doing an inventory of how her mind was going to be for the next few minutes or hours. Usually, it helped, but this morning it was doing nothing but layering frustration on top of the things that she knew were not right. It hurt, when things weren't right and she didn't know how to fix them when the cracks kept coming back.
It wasn't until she got dressed and went into the kitchen that she realized what was missing in the bedroom.
Finnick! Finnick never left her when she was sleeping. He slept next to her every night and kept her safe. She curled up in his arms and protected him.
The beginning of a crack started in her control as she ran through the apartment, calling his name. It didn't matter how much she cried or called for him, he didn't come to her.
Wrong wrong WRONG!
It was all wrong. She didn't know what had happened, but she knew that Finnick not being with her was wrong.
Not bothering to put on shoes, Annie left the apartment and ran all of the way down to the river. The river would know where Finnick was. She always talked to her or sang to her when she was upset and confused. Right now, she was both and she hoped her friend could help her find Finnick. He wasn't safe without her and she didn't know how to be without him. When she got to the river, she ran up and down the banks a few times before dropping to her knees and staring into the water. She wasn't aware of the tears on her face as she tugged at her tangled hair, rocking back and forth.
"Finnick? Finnick, where did you go? Did the Peacekeepers take him away?"
