"I haven't looked at them here to see if they match up what I know from home." Lydia told her. This place seemed pretty normal, so she figured that it was the same as what she knew. But it was possible there were some differences. This place was close enough to home though, in most things. Apparently that was not the case with Belle. The world she'd come from had been really different. Vastly different. It was sometimes a little much to wrap her head around, but she was adjusting here, as well as she could. It seemed like it was easier for her to do that, than it was for Belle.
Lydia could see herself being friends with Belle. The girl seemed very nice, and intelligent. And she was easy to talk to, and get along with. It was important to have that, someone to talk to. They were little more than strangers now, but that could change. They could become friends. And it already seemed like Belle was becoming more comfortable with her. She didn't know how long they'd be there, but it could be quite awhile. It made sense to try and reach out and make friends. They all had something in common, if they were stuck here.
"Oh, all kinds of things." Lydia said. She liked to have a lot to do, enough to keep her busy. "If you'd like, I can help you learn some of the things about this world." She didn't mind that. And maybe Belle could tell Lydia about her home world. That would be very interesting, she figured. She could come and visit Belle at the library. Or Belle could come and see her.
