"Right. Maybe we could braid each other's hair." She gave him a wicked smirk when he glanced in her direction. Hayley had never been the friendliest of werewolves. She tended to get along with men better than women for obvious reasons but she counted Rebekah among her very few friends. Marley seemed so innocent and fresh faced like she had stepped right out of a fucking tampon commercial or something.
"You really do believe the best in everyone, don't you?" It was a rhetorical question that she already knew the answer to. If someone could find the best in Klaus when there was a serious lack of best to find, they were looking pretty hard for it. That was one of the things she liked about Elijah though. It was like he could see right through her bitchy veneer to the girl who supposedly like Klaus just wanted a family beneath the surface.
They walked into a store and Hayley started looking through racks of clothing. She sighed as she looked at the cute clothes, the kind she usually wore. These days she was opting more for stretchy waistbands and flats. They weren't cute but they were comfortable. God, this baby was going to ruin her body.
"Maternity clothes suck." She held up a baby doll dress. So not the kind of thing Hayley would normally wear but it would hide her baby bump. "Think you could compel me a personal trainer after I have this kid?"
