He chuckled at that and reached up to switch off the distorter for the time being. It wasn't like he needed it to talk to Chloe. She already knew his biggest secrets. "Oh good. I'm glad I can at least reassure you of that much." He wasn't sure how much reassurance he was going to be able to offer her beyond that, really.
Still, he paused at her words. She thought they were in California? Why would she suddenly appear in California? It didn't make any sense to him. "Well, it is.
