Evelyn was having quite the time exploring the town and all of the modern conveniences that were available. There was so much research to catch up on and process.
The mummies of Nefertiti and Hatchepsut had been found?
One of the finds would have been amazing, but finding both of them seemed to be nothing short of a miracle to her. All of the leaps and bounds her field had made since her time had her both excited and in dread. Had the internet made her favorite area of study obsolete? She very dearly hoped not.
She would have to look for a job soon, she thought, but for now, she was perusing the town's library. It wasn't as scholarly as the Cairo Museum's library had been, but it was something.
The library was rather quiet and soon, Evelyn had an armful of books on Egypt and archaeology. They were getting heavy and she wanted to sit down and start going through them. The closest table to where she was now had one person at it. She managed to get her books and herself to the table and sat in an empty chair. When he told her she could sit, she smiled.
"Thank you. I forgot how heavy some books could be when you are carrying a lot of them."
