WHO: Fela and OPEN! WHAT: Exploring WHEN: Saturday afternoon WHERE: Around Madison WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
When she'd arrived back home, Fela had written off her time here as a strange, and particularly vivid dream. It hadn't been. Or at least, it appeared not to have been, unless it had been a recurring dream that she'd found herself in again. But as the girl Clove had said, there was really no way to tell for sure, and it was best just to treat the whole situation as if it were real. After all, it couldn't hurt.
As she walked the sidewalks up and down Main Street, her memories slowly came back. She hadn't been here long before, but she'd had a relatively happy time while she was here. She'd met all sorts of interesting people, and Kvothe had been there then, as well. While she wasn't as infatuated with him as she once had been (thank Merciful Tehlu for that), he was still a friend, and being able to stop by the tavern and listen to him play took some of the strangeness...the foreignness out of this place. It made her feel more at home to have a friend here.
Fela's parents were well off, and while she'd always had everything she needed and (almost) everything she wanted, she never in her wildest dreams could have imagined the number of things available in this place. The variety of clothing...accessories, electronics, household items, knick-knacks...it simply boggled the mind. She wandered in and out of stores, lost in a sense of wonder, overwhelmed by the huge number of things this place had and hers didn't. Still, they were just things. And she'd give all of them up for Simmon to be here, or to be back with her friends at the University, or sitting around a table at a tavern in Imre watching them all play corners. She sighed a bit sadly, outwardly focusing on a window display showcasing some rather risque clothing. Did women really wear that sort of thing here? She wasn't a prude by any means, but still.
Sighing, she shook her head, forcing herself to let the sad thoughts go. She couldn't leave, so there was really no reason to upset herself thinking of being home. She couldn't stop thinking about it entirely, of course, but she could at least get out of this place what she could. Master Elodin was here, after all, and perhaps he was bored enough to teach her again. She wouldn't ask him, wouldn't beg - but she'd certainly agree if he asked her to be his student. It seemed the best way to get on his good side, as he didn't seem to be particularly fond of people who were desperate to please him.
Putting a bit of a spring in her step (because why not? it didn't do any good to be upset), she made her way down the street. Far from home or not, she could enjoy the fall day, and perhaps look upon this as a...vacation of sorts. After all, it had been a terribly difficult term, and she could certainly use the rest.
