Absolutely. In fact, if I'm not working here I doubt I'll know what to do with my time. That's fine, then. I'll help people who want it and leave the others alone. On that note, if I'm here any length of time I'm going to need paid employment. I don't expect compensation for the legal work I do regarding the local government, that'll be all pro bono, but are there any other potential clients you might point me in the direction of?
You're a journalist. That explains a lot. I'll be honest and say that journalists aren't my favorite type of people. My husband's a prominent politician and you can imagine...the scrutiny our lives are put under. It'll be nice to be working with a journalist for once, I'll say that, even if you've turned politician yourself.
Right, well if their biggest complaint is that they can't drink? They're either not prioritizing well or they haven't got an argument worth making. We all hated that and we all found ways around it. They can, too. I thought it'd be more about educational needs, the guardianship question, employment opportunities - issues where their arguments might have some merit.
At eleven? Hmm. I don't think Rand ever wrote about any children, did she? Did this girl own a business where she's from, then? If so I can just about see the logic, if she's used to supporting herself and now she's unable to.
That's true, if she didn't want anything done, nothing could be. But yes, don't do anything that would be wrong for a politician. You don't want to start out your political career that way, journalism background or not.
