It's been bantered around. There are us representatives, but we were voted to present refugee concerns to the City government.
The difficulty comes in with the lack of cultural similarity. Basic things like who does and doesn't vote, the nature of authority, etc. So far there's been a general inclination to follow local law because that way no particular refugee timeline is privileged, which would be an issue with any form of internal government.
