There was a time when Rose wouldn't have been remotely glad to see Christian Ozera. He'd always had a bad reputation and nevermind that hers wasn't much better, Rose hadn't liked him. She hadn't liked that Lissa did like him. Over time, that had changed, though. Not only had she seen how good he was for Lissa, but Christian was actually a pretty great guy, himself. Maybe they wouldn't ever be besties, but Rose had grown to respect him. Sometimes, she even liked him.
Right now, though, she wasn't glad to see him, because if she was dead and he was here, then so was he. That was the only explanation for him being able to see her and talk to her. This wasn't a case of one of them being a ghost, because she knew what that was like. No, this was some completely fucked up afterlife and if Christian was here, that meant he was dead, too.
"What the hell are you doing here? I'm the one who got shot. You're- the rest of you were supposed to be safe." She took a step forward and faltered as a wave of dizziness swept over her. Rose hadn't been walking for long, but she was exhausted and she had to stop to steady herself.
She really hoped there weren't any

in this afterlife. She didn't have a silver stake on her and Rose was in no condition to fight anything at the moment.
