Roland would have protested - he wouldn't have the girl risk herself for such a thing - but she was climbing before he could stop her. So he did the only thing he knew how and took a step forward to steady the cart, and put himself in position to catch her if necessary.
"Two," he answered. One for him, and one for Cuthbert. "And...matches and such to work them?" They worked on matches, did they not? Matches and some sort of fuel inside. Unless...he looked up at the lanterns on the top shelf and quirked his head slightly.
It couldn't be that they ran on sparklights, could it?
