It had only taken Lissa two more days of reaching for the blade before she decided that she needed to seek advice for her problem. Christian was in this town now and she didn't want him to worry more about her than he already was. When she saw the message from Marius on the network, she considered replying to ask him certain questions -- until she realized that he was from 1940 and possibly wouldn't know about the kinds of medication that people took on a daily basis for managing some of their illnesses. (Rose told her it wasn't and illness and she wasn't defective, it was just that there was too much she dealt with because of her powers and the people all around her.) However, right about now, Lissa was feeling rather defective.
It was while she was healing the latest batch of cuts that she realized there were at least two people that she could reach out to and ask their advice. She couldn't go to the hospital and she didn't want to ask the wrong questions and give people even more reason to attack her. After all, the only person she was hurting was herself and not anyone else. The thing was, she knew that she didn't deserve to be punished the way she punished herself when she was feeling so down and dark. She needed someone to talk to, someone who was honest but wouldn't judge her.
Taking a deep breath, she typed a quick message out to Justine and Georgia asking them if they could come see her at her place. She anxiously ran her hands up and down her arms as she waited for their replies, and then she almost burst into tears at how quickly they agreed to come see her. Maybe it would be all right and she wouldn't be left alone to deal with her demons and hide how she was breaking down from the man she loved.
Turning off the computer, she paced the living room, then sat down nervously on the couch, gripping her hands to keep them from shaking. She had reached out, asked for help. Rose would be proud of her for doing that if she knew. Now, she just needed to wait and see what the next step she'd take should be. If they couldn't help her or have any advice for her, maybe they'd know where she could go next that wouldn't end up with her in some kind of confinement.
