You're in Indiana, in America, in a version of 2013. Basic, important things are:
- We're stuck here. By some sort of barrier. I'm now kicking around the idea of it being in a higher dimension and reverberating down into what we understand, but basically we don't know.
- There are people here from all different timelines. So we can't assume any sort of common cultural values or understanding. So if people act weird or offensive or whatever, that's probably why.
- Currently, there's friction between the local government and the refugees (which is what we're currently being called). Within the community, there's some tensions between magic-users and those without magic, due to that cultural dissonance I mentioned. Just mention it so that you don't step in the middle of something without consideration.
- The Council asking for your blood sample has no valid reason to require it. Whether you comply is your choice.
