Rainbow Dash was still getting settled in, and there were so many new things in this place that she wanted to try. She had started to wonder if she would ever actually get to them all. Of course, she also wasn't the type to give up easily either, so she would continue each day to try something new. She might as well make the most of her time in this new place and see where life took her. It was still a little strange to do all of this with legs and hands instead of hoofs, but she was picking up quicker than she had thought that she would. At least whomever was behind this had left her with her speed, because she knew for sure she would not have adapted well to being slow. She liked being fast and being able to get things done in a timely fashion. That might be the reason that she actually has the chance of trying everything in Madison no matter how long she is there. For today though, the place called Starbucks was next on her list. All of those different drinks had been the first thing to appeal to her.

The other thing about this place that was strange to her was the need to wear clothes, but she didn't find it to be objectionable either. She actually enjoyed finding all the different color clothes and figuring out ways to pair them together. For today, she had selected of pair of bright blue pants and a rainbow colored top to match her hair. With her clothes on, and the new device she had been given upon her arrival now in her pocket she made her way out the door of the apartment she had been given. Even with the decision made to take her time, she still arrived at Starbucks in a matter of minutes and made her way inside. While she knew that she was meant to order a drink, she decided to have a look around first. After all, this was all a new experience for her. It really was a magical place...at least to her, and she hadn't even tried the food or drinks yet. So, she decided to keep her hopes high and made her way to the counter to look over the menu. Of course, she had no idea what any of the words meant so she wound up standing back out of the way and just looking them over.

Finally, she spotted someone else standing in line and since she was going to have to wait anyway, Dash decided that maybe this would be one of those times she should learn to ask for help. So, she approached the woman and gave her a friendly smile. "Hello. I am sorry to interrupt your day, but could you perhaps suggest a drink and pastry for me to try?" she asked, trying to be friendly, but also brief. "This is all very new to me, and I don't even know where to begin" she added honestly, wanting the other person to know the real reason she was asking such a simple question instead of deciding for herself.

Helena enjoyed her time in Madison Valley. It helped that Claudia was there too and she'd made friends in the place. Though, she tended to spend more time with the cat and her work than anything else. After all, she loved writing and it's what she normally came into Starbucks to do. Not because Claudia and Cosima bothered her, they didn't, but she liked the ambiance of the place. Enjoyed being able to sit down and listen to the bustle of the people around her.

Her laptop and notepad were sitting at one of the tables when she decided to go grab another drink. If she could live off of a coffee then she would. Coffee, writing, and books. As well as dealing with little anomalies here and there. Not that there was a Warehouse in Madison. Sometimes she wondered how Claudia found herself in the situation she was in and yet didn't wonder it at the same time.

Hearing the young woman approach she gives a soft smile," Your first time can be a bit daunting, darling, I get it." There were so many different choices in the place. "Why don't you go with the mango dragonfruit refresher and a baked apple croissant. Those are safe options for your first try at Starbucks."

Rainbow Dash had always been the adventurous sort, but she also knew that too much at one time could be very daunting. That lesson has taken a very long time for her to learn, but she had been grateful for it none the less. Given Helena's suggestion that might be something these two had in common. So, Dash smiled softly and nodded her head slightly as she looked back at the menu.

"Thank you! I think I will try those and then perhaps something else next time" she replied, her tone still friendly. After all, this person was being kind to her and Dash was nothing if not outgoing with others. Being in a new place and in a new body certainly wouldn't change that part of Dash.

"My name is Rainbow Dash" she added, not wanting to be rude herself and not give her name to the other woman.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with being adventurous. That? It was something that the two of them had in common. Helena was rather adventurous and had been for most of her life. That didn't mean that life couldn't be daunting. That bad things couldn't happen. She'd had something bad happen to her and she'd taken it upon herself to do something she shouldn't. Bronzing oneself was not something a person should do. Much less when they were angry at the world.

"The refreshers have a bit of a better taste than the coffee does. Though, if you like or prefer coffee then they have some good ones. Even good lattes, along with specialized drinks. This place is rather fascinating," she tells her with a smile. Her original timeline didn't have Starbucks, the world now did.

"Nice to meet you, Rainbow Dash, I'm Helena Wells, but you can call me H.G." She didn't expect the other to know the story behind the name H.G. Wells, not unless she was an avid reader and they had her books back in their world.
