She was glad to hear it was something nice. Was there a possibility that he was lying? Yes, but Aloy wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt - he seemed nice.

"Oh, no. Sorry." She looked a little embarrassed. "I was just curious. I don't think French is around when I'm from. It sounds nice. Kind of like a song." Hopefully that didn't sound completely stupid
