You know, I grew up in the Midwest where flour was a spice and there was a Jello salad and 'hot dish' for every occasion but I didn't really want to come back.

To the Midwest or - well, I'm not entirely sure of the logistics of this universe. Still trying to get a grip on things despite feeling like I'm sailing on the rivers of LSD and maybe shrooms (haven't felt like this since the college days, where a bad trip led to going through a KFC drive-through on a bike once, asking for blueberry pie), but the Welcoming Committee was oh-so-very nice.

Yeah, definitely still learning those. I was on my way to stop an Incursion and well - now here I am. Being welcomed and feeling suspicious.

If it's any consolation, time seems to move differently here than back home. From all accounts, when people return home, they go back to the moment they left.

It isn't. There are times when there might be something strange like an invasion of zombies, but they're short and there's a lot of good people here to keep the town safe

Sometimes people come from different times so it could be before we met?

But I'm glad you remember me because I have a bunch of questions about portals. I've been working on them here and are like, a lot better, but it would probably be better learning from someone who actually knows what they're doing.
