[OOC: After this]

If you happen to see a floating book, please let me know. The book is with me right now, but it already went off once and is in a mood, so it's best to let me deal with it. Cause it keeps nipping, and I don't need it deciding to use spells from the book, even though it tends only to do that when helping, I'm not taking a chance.

[Friends*]

I know it remembered Leo V, so if you met Hex before when we were last here, it might remember you, but I still want to double-check, as I'm sure you remember how it can get. For the friends who haven't met Hex, I'll have to introduce you because it can be a bit protective or, right now, straight moody, but normally, it's super sweet and friendly once the book knows you.

[ooc: If not sure whether you fall under the friend category, just ask!]

Your book floats and has moods of its own?

Yes, Hex can fly and float as it pleases, and it definitely has moods, especially when it's mad or hurt.

What? Hex being able to float and have moods?

Probably because around here, you're introduced to a lot of surprising things. I know I was shocked when I first met Hex, but I also didn't know anything about magic or the supernatural at that point.

I don't think any home is quite like this. I had magic and a few supernatural-type beings, but this place is something else. What kinda weird did you have back home?

A moody book sounds rather in line with how this place is.

I think most things people wouldn't consider "normal" would be in line with this place. But yeah, Hex isn't always as moody; however, it's not too happy about being back here, considering what it was doing in my world.

I'm sure after a day of spine rubs and attention and a chance to settle; it will be back to normal.

Based on our talks about magic, I figured you'd want to meet Hex. However, I need to let it settle in and not be blaming me for it being back here, which should be a day or two after I take it to visit the library.

I'd be happy to introduce the two of you once it's settled and not nipping at me. I'm sure you'll have no problem charming and winning Hex over.

It sure as hell was for me when I first met Hex. Now, that's probably why most of the things I hear about around here are not that surprising or strange to me.
