Who: Anakin and Eloise
What: dinner date
When: backdated to Monday evening
Where: Crescent Moon Bayou

El had never gone on a date. In fact, aside from dancing with Anakin at the ball during the cruise, the young woman didn't enjoy anything with romance. Though she felt slightly differently when she spent time with Anakin. What should she wear on a date? Eloise settled on a cute outfit, enjoying how her legs looked in this skirt. Somewhere her eldest brother fainted, but she felt certain Benedict would approve. She did add a jean jacket, though, in case her arms felt cold.

Once at the restaurant, Eloise breathed in the scent of food. She liked trying the variety of food available in this world, and everything smelled delicious.

Anakin hadn't meant to start dating again after Luna was sent home. However, meeting Eloise at the ball had changed that. He found that he enjoyed her company, and wanted to get to know her better. He felt that there could definitely be romantic feelings here, and he wanted to explore this.

Just because he'd been broken when Luna was sent home didn't mean he wasn't willing to try again, apparently. It was harder to deter Anakin Skywalker than that, it seemed.

He had attempted to dress nicely for the occasion, not hesitating to ask Leia for her opinion before heading out to the restaurant. He had opted to not wear the usual black gloves he wore, thinking it would detract from the look. If Eloise noticed the coppery robotic hand, then he'd be more than willing to answer any questions she may have.

He and Eloise had agreed to meet at Crescent Moon Bayou, though Anakin wouldn't have minded stopping by her house first to walk with her to the restaurant.

"Hello, Eloise," he said, smiling slightly.

Well at least Anakin had a past relationship. Eloise most definitely didn't. But, she did like Anakin, so that seemed like a good reason to see what might happen. She thought, too, how grateful she felt for not having anyone back home like Daphne or a lot of confusion with Colin and Pen.

She'd come from work, so she hadn't needed to walk too far at least. "Hello Anakin." Eloise smiled. "You look very nice." Given how new this was to her, Eloise had no idea what to do in this world with someone you liked.

"Have you eaten here before?" Her brunette hair lay in waves, an easy hairstyle in this place. She only wore a little mascara and eyeliner.

"You don't look half bad yourself," Anakin said, offering her a small smile. "You look nice." He wouldn't tell her that if he didn't think so -- he would have just kept his mouth shut. "I have eaten here once or twice," he told her. "It's a good place. Some of their food can be a little spicy, but everything I've had has been delicious."

He hadn't had much at the restaurant, but he had enjoyed what he'd had.

"I hear something called gumbo is good, but I haven't had it before. It's kind of soupy?" He shrugged a bit at this, then motioned toward the hostess stand. "Shall we get a table?"

Eloise smiled at the compliment. Unlike other women in her life, she didn't blush, though she also didn't think him insincere like most men in the marriage mart. "Thank you."

She listened and nodded. "Yes, a table would be lovely, thank you." Eloise wondered about how her brother would like this atmosphere. "Kind of soupy? I always believed a food to be soup or not," she said as they arrived at their table. After they sat, the young woman pulled out her menu. "I do not know what most of these dishes are, but I've enjoyed trying various foods here." A server came by to take their drink orders and Eloise ordered soda water.
