Piper loved spring. She'd gotten a little bit used to the cold weather from her time staying at Camp Halfblood on Long Island, but it never felt right. Right was the beautiful sunshine of Southern California, which would always be her home. Still, she was glad not to have to wear a coat today, and to see flowers starting to bloom. There could always be another snow storm - she knew that - but for now she was just enjoying the day.
She'd gone for a long walk by the river, and was now feeling rather hungry. There were so many options of places to eat here, and it wasn't always easy to make the decision. But she decided the simplest way - what would be closest for her on her walk home. That meant Hong Kong Kitchen. She could get her food and eat at home, but for tonight she decided to leave the mess at the restaurant and just eat there. Maybe she'd even find someone fun to talk to while she did.
She went up to the counter and ordered her food, then took her napkins and silverware to a table. She seemed to be the only one eating there, which was a bit disappointing, but she just pulled out her phone and started browsing the network as she waited for her food, or someone more interesting to arrive.
