Losing so many people at one time had been hard for Josie, but she was used to things being taken away from her too. So, even though she still missed her family quite a bit, she was trying to continue to make a life for herself in Madison. Of course, it wasn't easy and there were still times when she allowed herself to grieve all that she had lost. But she was also trying to see the silver lining in things as well, because she knew that her family would want her to be happy and not turn into hermit here. So, she was grateful that she still had Hope and Landon, and there was also the new friends that she was making. Abby was certainly at the top of the list, and Josie couldn't help thinking that perhaps the dome had given her Abby as a way to make up for all the things it had taken away recently. No, things weren't easy and they still had to get to know one another better, but Josie also knew that she was lucky to have someone else that cared about what happened to her. Having lost so much in her life also meant that Josie knew the importance of showing those around you how grateful you were to have them in your life. So, she had decided to do something nice for Abby and make her dinner. It seemed like a good way to show Abby her gratitude, while also distracting herself. Of course, she wasn't the best cook in the world, but she did know how to make a few things and she was a better baker. So, she went with a simple meal and then made brownies for dessert as well. Once she had the food ready, she made her way back upstairs to change into some clean clothes, so that she could enjoy the meal with Abby. Once she was dressed in the more comfortable clothes, she made her way back downstairs and into the kitchen. She took a seat at the table and waited for Abby to join her. All she could do was wait and hope that Abby would be happy with her efforts. After all, they hadn't learned everything about one another yet, so she wasn't sure if Abby would like what she had prepared. |
