Max wasn’t surprised at all. What was surprising was the fact she hadn’t said anything, but it seemed many already had so she’d leave it alone unless he made her change her mind. “Just awkward or was it bad?” Max asked, noticing the eye roll.
She nodded as she listened to him. “Yeah, I’d rather start as friends with the person before becoming anything. That’s what happened with my last boyfriend.” Max was pretty sure if it wasn’t for that, she’d never have given Lucas a chance, but she had and she didn’t regret it. “I know we can be sent home at any time; however, I don’t want to rush into anything either. I’m young and have plenty of time.”
Max sat back in her chair, “I’ll probably grab some food then head home and watch some horror movies or something.”
