Jason was relieved that Kamala had returned to Madison Valley. It was honestly the best thing that happened to him all week. He was starting to really like her, and losing her like that, so quickly...well, it had been more than a little terrifying. Unfortunately, he knew that was the way that Madison Valley worked. People just disappeared, and you never got the chance to say goodbye. It was one of the things that made it pretty terrifying to start a relationship here, but if you didn't want to be alone you had to just accept it and move on.
Overnight, all of the stores had turned pink with Valentine's Day merchandise. He'd met Cupid, and honestly thought he was a bit of a dick, but he still wanted to get something for Kamala to show her how much he cared. Because he did. He was always a little afraid, however, that he'd fail her as he'd failed Piper. He wasn't a romantic, and he hoped that she didn't really expect that of him. He'd do his best, though.
He was looking around the little downtown shops, because he didn't want to get her gift at Walmart. He wanted it to be something unique and special, just like her. Maybe he should have something made for her?
Not finding what he wanted, he left the store and stepped back into the street, pulling his jacket more tightly around him. He'd find something eventually, he just had to keep looking.
