WHO: Nina Zenik and Genya Safin WHAT: Dinner/Genya's arrival WHEN: Wednesday evening WHERE: Hong Kong Kitchen WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
This place was unlike anything that Genya had ever seen. Even in the cities she had never seen such technology or inventions as she saw before her every step she took. More than anything, she wanted to run to David and tell him all about everything, to see his face light up at her words and the fantastic things that she had seen. But that was something she would never be able to do again, and that realization was like a knife to her heart every time it happened.
She shook her head, trying to dispel the thought and the pain, then stepped into the restaurant, choosing a table near the back. She hoped that her face and scars didn't attract too much attention - she ran her fingers through her hair, covering up the worst of it.
She didn't know what to make of this place, but it was at least a comfort that she knew several of the people here. People like Nina and Zoya and Nikolai, who were her friends, and who would help her get through the first days here. She hoped that Nina could answer her questions, and help her with little things like how to use the money card, and what to order at the restaurants.
She was looking over the menu when she heard the door open and saw Nina. She raised her hand half-way, waving a little to let her know where she was.
