Scorpius & Carson
Carson was by now more than used to parties in Madison Valley -- it wasn't difficult to get him out and make him be social for a while, and he even actually enjoyed it most of the time. Of course, it admittedly helped a fair bit that Scorpius generally didn't give him a whole ton of choice about going out sometimes.
Tonight, though, was one of the nights where Carson was genuinely enjoying himself. He'd wandered off on his own for a bit, was mingling with a drink in hand. He hadn't run into anybody he knew yet, but he was sure he would soon enough -- one of the joys of having been in town for almost a decade.
He found Scorpius standing in front of a painting, looking as though he were considering something. "Let me guess," he said with an amused tone. "Trying to decide exactly how much you want this one as opposed to that one we noticed when we first got here?"
