Running Numbers - For Kaz
It had taken Kaz about two weeks to figure out the technology here. Devices such as the tablet, computer, and cell phones didn't exist in his world. However, he'd always been a quick study and the Bastard of the Barrel adapted quickly to his futuristic surroundings.
Kaz watched him work, his expression unreadable as the young man took bets, cross checked names, and even managed to prod a few people into making higher wages. He wasn't bad. Of course, the real proof would be in the contents of those bets and the record keeping.
It was accurate. Kaz's gaze shifted to the young man standing before him and he nodded. "Not bad. We will see how the fight concludes, but it's solid, accurate work." If this guy wanted to run numbers for him, he wasn't opposed to the idea. Obviously, Kaz would be keeping a close eye on him, but he was open to the idea of someone handling the gambling affairs at Fight Night, especially if the Crow club was in his future.
