Of course the angel knew, and of course he would apologise. But that didn't change the fact that he'd been given a choice, and had chosen Heaven. Crowley just nodded at the words. "No...you didn't." The more he thought about it, the more that choice hurt. Part of him was so hurt that Aziraphale could pick Heaven over him that he wanted nothing to do with the angel, or his apology. That part was pretty loud if he was being honest with himself.
He just look at him for another moment, saying nothing as he debated his options. He probably should just walk away, but that look in the angel's eyes stopped him. He knew that look, and he had never been able to say no to that look. He drew in a breath and let it out with a deep sigh. "I don't think anything will make everything okay, Aziraphale. I..." He just shook his head. "I don't know what to say here, I just want to know why? Why would you do that to me? To us? Everything we've..." He stopped and shook his head again. "Why?"
