Who: Sam and Chloe
Where: Their House
When: After Halloween
Warnings: nada
After they had been out of the haunted house and in the fresh air for a bit, Chloe had seemed to improve. She wasn’t nauseous anymore, and her color had returned. Sam was still a little worried that she may be coming down with something, but other than the vaccinations DJ already had and buying the over the counter stuff, there wasn’t much else he could do. He wasn’t worried though. DJ wasn’t even at home, he was with Jack, who was taking him bowling and coming back later on for a sleepover. They stopped at the store as planned, and Chloe went in and picked up a few things, and probably a treat for DJ, who was getting spoiled to stuff like that. At home, they parted ways with a kiss, Chloe presumably to take a bath, and he settled in the living room with a beer and and opened a game to play on his phone. He fully expected Chloe to join him when she was done, so he waited to start a movie until she came. She was relieved that Sam didn’t ask her a ton of questions about it. While she wasn’t trying to hide anything from him, she wanted to be certain before she said anything at all. Chloe took the ginger ale and the bag of stuff into the bathroom with her to take the test. Since she had to wait fifteen minutes, she decided it would be a good time to take a shower. After taking the test she placed it on top of the box on the counter and stripped down to get in the shower. The hot water felt good against her body and she felt the tension and nausea fade away slowly. Chloe had forgotten all about the test until she pulled back the shower door and was confronted with the test on the counter. After she grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body she stepped out of the shower and took a look at the test. Positive. She couldn’t help the smile on her face and wondered if this would change how Sam felt about Halloween. She took her time and eventually made her way down the stairs to join Sam. Dressed in sweats and a tshirt of Sam’s, her hair was piled into a bun when she curled up next to her fiancee. “I’m feeling much better now. What are you up to, handsome?” “Yeah? The warm water might have helped.” Maybe. It might have been something she ate, coupled with the active evening at the haunted house they went to. Sam reached down and put his arm around her, finishing up the last few moves of his game before he turned his phone off and put it on the end table next to him. “One of those crush games. Candy, soda. I think I have three of them on my phone that DJ downloaded. They’re addictive.” He gave her a kiss on her head and grinned. “I’m glad you’re feeling better. It was probably just something you ate that didn’t agree with the BO in the haunted house,” he looked around him for the remote control and then stopped when he thought about it. They had a rare evening alone. Child free. Her sickness earlier took sex off the table - he didn’t want to excite her too much - but there had to be something else they could do. “What do you feel like doing?” “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe we can watch a scary movie, and you can hold me during the scary parts?” Grinning brightly, Chloe shifted against him and leaned in to press a few kisses along his jaw. “Buuuuut, if we’re going to watch a movie, I need some snacks. Can you go make us some popcorn and grab me an iced tea while I pick a movie for us?” Before joining Sam on the couch, Chloe had placed the positive pregnancy test on the counter (on top of the box, of course). When he went to grab the snacks, he was sure to see it. Sam was happy that she was feeling well enough to have some snacks. That meant that whatever it was was probably a one time thing and well gone from her now, freeing her up for other things. Better things than spending the night hanging out over the toilet. “Thanks to my brother, I’m well versed in the slasher/horror movie department. At least as far as the older ones go. So,” he kissed her jaw, and handed her the remote as he started to stand up. “Pick a good one, and I’ll be right back.” Sam slid from the couch and made his way to the kitchen, immediately grabbing a bag of microwave popcorn from the pantry and tossing it in the microwave to cook. He whistled as he pulled down a pair of glasses, and grabbed a bag of grapes and the tea from the refrigerator. He saw the test lying on the counter out of the corner of his eye and stopped whistling as he walked over to it and picked it up. Was this a joke? Did Chloe joke like that? Sam was grinning as he saw that the test was positive, and he appeared at the corner of the kitchen doorway that led into their living room where Chloe was. “Honey,” he started, excitement bubbling up inside of him, so much that it could be heard in his voice. He held the test up for her to see that he had seen and walked towards the couch, still unable to wipe the smile from his face. “This… it’s the best news. I can’t even…” She had been engrossed in scrolling through the movie titles when he called her, and it took a second for her to notice. Her head whipped around, and she looked over at Sam, who had the biggest smile on his face. “It looks like John will be here soon.” Chloe set the remote down and got up from the couch to meet him halfway. She threw her arms around his shoulders and leaned up to kiss him passionately. She took the test from his hands and set it down so she could jump up into his arms, her legs going around his waist. “Should we celebrate, or watch a movie? Such a hard decision, handsome.” Sam couldn’t believe it. He was shocked, partially expecting her to give him a confused look and the entire test to have been something else and he’d misinterpreted somehow, saw it differently in his haste. “God, it’s wonderful,” he said as they broke their kiss, and wrapped his arms around her as she climbed in his arms. John was going to be a reality. He’d heard that some of the children who showed up weren’t always born in this reality, and it was hard to know that after getting so attached to John both times he had shown up. But now - “Well,” he kissed her again as the microwave sounded behind them, signaling that their popcorn was done. “I don’t exactly feel like watching a movie anymore. Not right now. What kind of celebrating do you have in mind, beautiful?” Her hand reached up to run her fingers through his smooth hair and she moved to start kissing and sucking at his neck. “The kind of celebrating that we do in the bedroom.” Chloe answered suggestively and reached under his shirt to rub over his bare skin. “We can still take the popcorn. Just in case I get hungry.” She teased playfully and shifted to press her body more firmly to his, deepening the kiss. Sam gave a pleasurable hum deep in his throat when she touched his skin, most of his thoughts about not having sex going right out of the window. He knew why she had been sick earlier, and it wasn’t anything he could bring back by riling her up or getting her overstimulated, so he was in a completely different frame of mind now. He put a hand under her ass to hold her steady while he walked to the kitchen, grabbing the popcorn out of the microwave, even though she was probably just kidding. He hoped she was just kidding. “If I look up and see you eating popcorn while I’m going down on you,” he kissed her as he walked to the bedroom, closing the door behind them with his foot and teasing her too. “I’m going to have to make you finish by yourself.” “Oh really now? You're going to punish your pregnant fiancee for providing nourishment to your child? I have never been so offended in my life, Samuel Winchester.” Chloe scoffed in response and swatted at his shoulder playfully. “I think I might have to send you to the corner to think about what you just said, young man. Or, maybe this bad boy needs a spanking first.” Once they were close enough to the bed, Chloe jumped out of his arms and onto the bed with a childish giggle. “Maybe we should entertain ourselves by jumping on the bed instead. What do you think?” Before she could say another word, Sam tackled her to the bed and kissed her, quickly putting that suggestion to the back of her mind. |
