Who: Barbara & Dick What: Halloween Plot When: Halloween Night (Backdated) Where: Somewhere in town. Rating: Low
When Barbara had originally gotten the idea for the gangster costumes, it was after talking herself out of being too cruel to Dick. His decision to give her the power to pick the costumes almost had her making him Peter Pan for her own amusement. Only she talked herself out of it, deciding to be a little nice this time around, then maybe next year going evil after he let his guard down and gave her the power again. Or maybe she’d let him decide next year. Either way, she had been nice and not made it too bad for him. Also, she had liked the look of the one for herself hence her reason for going gangster. Okay, and it was a little amusing considering some of the people they had dealt with, but at least she didn’t do any costumes of people from their world.
Just as she was getting ready to head out, Barbara felt something come over her causing her to pause. A second later a look of disgust as she saw the place around her and that she was sitting in a wheelchair something she did not need. This place looked horrible and very unstylish, making her wonder why she was even in something like this. Checking herself in the mirror, she blew a kiss at herself before heading out. Maybe she’d go find her man to have some fun with, or she could have some fun of her own and provoke him into letting out that bad guy side of his that got her all turned on. Walking by a younger man, she turned and whistled at him, winking before continuing with no real plan on where or what she was doing.
Or at least, there hadn’t been until walking by a store with some beautiful pieces of jewelry inside. Could she buy it herself? Most likely, but where was the fun in that? Heading inside, she waited and took what she wanted, running out without a second thought. “Drinks or my man?” She asked herself aloud before pouting as she went to find her boyfriend who was off probably having fun without her, and if so, she was going to give him hell.

Dick was definitely thankful Barbara had chosen to dress up as gangsters. It was a costume he could handle and he thought it was kind of funny that they’d dress up as ‘bad guys’ when they actively fought them in their everyday lives back home.
In his own costume complete with fedora slightly tilted to one side, he had planned to meet up with Barbara. Only when he got out of his house, there was a moment’s pause and then Dick was off doing something completely different. Dick wanted to have fun.
He loved his girl, he really did, but he also had a thing for the girl who flirted and he’d come across a flapper girl who was all sorts of smiles and giggles. It was a complete distraction. This led him to having one hand on the brick wall of the building while he was leaning slightly forward asking the woman what a dame like her was doing in a place like this when Barbara rounded the corner.

If looks could kill, then Dick and this girl he was talking to would both be dead right now from the glare that came upon Barbara’s face at the sight. Was he serious right now? Her temper was already flaring and people knew to get the hell out of the way when she was angry.
“Who the hell is this trollop?” Barbara asked, marching right over to them and without even thinking about it, she slapped Dick hard across the face. “Be lucky I don’t have my gun or you’d be getting more than just a slap,” she told him before looking at the girl in disgust. “Lowering your standards, I see.” A bitchy little smirk before turning on her heels. “Maybe I’ll find myself an upgrade. Think that buddy of yours who always hits on me would want to take me home.”
Barbara knew it would most likely get a rise out of him. He deserved a taste of his own medicine. However, she knew she could never end it with Dick He was an unhealthy addiction that she refused to part from. There was also the amazing sex that would come from her pushing all the right buttons on him. —
He knew who it was the moment she spoke and like with a well-practiced motion, he lifted his hands and turned, but still got slapped in the face. His hand went to his cheek, but it’d be a lie to say a part of him didn’t like it when she slapped him. He liked her fire.
“Aw, come up dollface, you know I didn’t mean nothing. She’s just some girl.” The ‘some girl’ took one look at Barbara’s face and was smart enough to scurry away, which was fine by Dick even if he’d miss the flirting. “You know you’re my lady. Ain’t no one else could hold a flame against you.” He attempted to move in and wrap his arms around her waist as a way of physical forgiveness.
– Barbara could kill him! Then again that was an almost daily feeling, and she was sure sometimes the feeling was mutual with how she acted, but he was damn lucky to have a woman like her. There was no one better than her, and it was good that he be reminded of that. Many of the men they worked with and knew plus many they didn’t would kill to be in his shoes and he was going to try and mess around with some nobody hussy. “Then you won’t mind me messing with just some guy if it means nothing, dollface,” she threw back at him with a bite.
Normally, she had no problem with that name, but not when she was fueled with anger like now. “At least one of you knew the smart choice,” nodding to that girl on her way out the opposite direction and away from them. “I know they ain’t no one else, but I think I might be able to get myself a real man,” she challenged him. That was a challenge that would not hold up cause even if she might flirt with many men, there was never anyone other than Dick who held her attention. Her attention span was hard to hold unless they were fun and could keep up with her all things Dick could do; however, she was never an easy one to get forgiveness from. He should just be thankful there were no weapons on her other than the few items she stole or he may have had an injury to deal with. When he tried to move to wrap his arms around her, she shoved him away. “And what were you planning to do with that just some girl if I hadn’t come around that there side?” That answer was going to decide her course of action, especially when she had a pretty good read on her man. –
He sent her a frowning pout when she shoved him away which was meant to elicit some sympathy from her. The question wasn’t too surprising, but Dick didn’t have a great answer for that. He’d never sleep with someone else, but he’d probably have kissed the girl - not that he’d outright admit that.
“Nothing, beautiful. Just some harmless flirting. You know I gots a fragile ego.” He said it because he’d heard her say that once or twice and he was willing to use it now in agreement in order to get her less angry at him. “Plus whenever I talk to another dame, they always remind how lucky I am to have you. Ain’t none of them able to hold a candle to you.”
– Barbara knew he would never sleep with someone else cause he knew if she found out, then he wouldn’t be walking away from that in one piece. Gods why didn’t she ever listen to her mother about messing with the bad boys and how they were nothing but trouble? Then again she was far from innocent, and no good guy would ever be able to keep up with her or handle her the way the asshole who she loved and hated right now could. Dick got under her skin and pissed her off more than anyone, but she did love him. Raising an eyebrow at him using her own words against her made her believe he was definitely not telling her the full truth. “I do know this, and I’ve told you numerous times I will not stroke your fragile ego,” she commented. Her temper was still at high levels, but it was simmering just a tiny bit. “I could have told you that. There is no one like me and you should remember that because I can find someone who will.” Barbara warned him as she noticed some guy coming along, a little smile that screamed she was up to something crossed her lips. “Hey handsome,” she said to the stranger, giving him a wink and blowing Dick off for the moment. “How would you like to buy a lady like me a drink later on this evening?” A small laugh slipped out when the man stumbled over his words caught way off guard. “Nevermind, move along.” She’d eat him alive and could already tell he’d bore her. Returning her attention to Dick, “Then I guess it’s fine if I go around flirting with all you boys, huh? Maybe stroke their fragile egos since it seems that’s your reason.” –
There was an instant frown, much more serious than the previous one when he flirted with some schmuck. He didn’t like it, even if the guy was clearly not on the same level as her. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her in just a little, but firmly. “I don’t want you stroking no guys but me. None of them are worth you time like I am. Don’t forget - “ His grip loosened, his eyes instantly softening to something far more suggestive and so did his voice. “- I know how what you like and how to make you purr. We’re good together.” Well, their sex was amazing, but some might argue other parts of their relationship weren’t healthy.
“ - How abouts we find a jewelry store around here and I get you something nice.” And by ‘get’, Dick didn’t mean ‘buy’.
– Barbara knew that would get a rise out of her man and she would be lying if she said she wasn’t just a bit turned on when he grabbed her wrist and pulled her in. Though her temper did waver a bit with his jealous side showing. “Then don’t you forget to keep it in your pants or else I’ll find another man for me to stroke,” she warned him, but her tone wasn’t as sharp as it had been previously. His comment about making her purr caused her to move closer to him, leaning up to kiss him roughly and nipping his bottom lip. Letting what he did slide for the time being since she was more interested in what he said after than in fighting with him.
“Really?” Her eyes lit up at the idea, especially since she knew she could get herself something special and she did enjoy watching her man steal for her. “Anything I want, baby? Cause I saw this gorgeous ring that I loved, and you get that for me and,” she leaned up near his ear, lowering her voice to tease him, “I’ll do pretty much anything you want tonight.” Barbara knew how to get what she wanted from any man, but especially from Dick. While he could be an ass at times, he always got her want she wanted and was one of the reasons that she kept him around. She deserved the nicer stuff, and he always got her that. Ignoring the fact it was stolen, but that only made the whole thing hotter at least in her opinion.

“You know it.” He answered her. He might be a lot of things, but he never lied about scoring her something like jewelry. In his weird, twisted way - that was where he showed his true loyalty. It didn’t hurt when she gave him a look like she did. He would do anything for a promise like that.
Now Dick was smiling, the kiss and that looking fueling a fire within him. “Let’s get you that pretty ring and maybe a matching necklace. I want to see how they look on you when it’s the only thing on ya.” He leaned in and kissed her again, hot and heavy. They were going to have so much fun tonight.
