Kaz and Inej
Kaz would never admit to it (except to Inej herself) that he treasured that smile more than potentially all the riches in the world. He bragged about money and power being his sole wife and mistress and while there was some truth to tale, there was also none at all. Inej mattered more to him than all of it. Though there were very few people in the world that knew it and, for both their safety, Kaz knew it had to stay that way. Even here.
Given that they both dealt with trauma and the movies themselves held the potential to be triggering, Kaz thought it best to find them seats off to the side, away from everyone else. The seats still provided them with the ability to observe others and to not be ambushed, but they gave them the space necessary should something strike either or both of them in the wrong way.
Once they were settled in, Kaz followed Inej's gaze, taking in the face of the people around them, some clearly eager for the experience and others far less so. Obviously, the children were excited. No it was certainly not an experience they would have in Ketterdam.
"Certainly," Kaz commented. His attention returned to Inej and he sank back into his seat though every muscle in his body was poised to strike if the moment called for it. He rested his cane against the seat and took a sip of his coffee. His other hand, while still gloved, held Inej's and intertwined their fingers. A feat no one ever saw Kaz being able to achieve except for Kaz himself and possibly Inej.
"If something bothers you, just squeeze my hand and we can leave, alright?"
