Re: Kaz and Inej
The ways of payment here were still new to Kaz, but he'd adapted, like always, to whatever curveball this world decided to throw at him. Thanks to their recent successful cons, Kaz had more than enough money to buy Inej whatever she wanted, but, for the moment, a single drink it was.
"I suppose I can order a coffee or something." Kaz wasn't going to get anything, but at Inej's prompting, he changed his mind and ordered himself a black coffee. Though they both now held a drink, Kaz offered his arm to her and then scoped out a place for the two of them to sit.
Even with a cane and drink in hand, Kaz managed to maneuver through the crowd easily. He never doubted Inej's ability to move gracefully in any situation. The seats were off to the side and while there were people around, there were not many and it was rather secluded. Kaz still preferred less people to more if he could help it.
"Choose whatever seat you wish. I'll take the other," he said, looking over at her with uncharacteristic softness in his eyes.
