Kaz and Inej
Inej had been glad that Kaz had agreed to go to the movie marathon with her. Part of it was because she wanted to gather information about such an odd happening, but part of it was because she wanted to spend some time with Kaz in a low stress atmosphere. From everything that she had heard about Melinda Halliwell and her movie marathons, nothing exciting or threatening ever happened during them. It was the perfect place to learn new things about this world and have some time to themselves where they weren't working to pull any kind of heist or other job.
That suited Inej just fine. As much as she enjoyed when the Crows were doing something exciting, she found that she also cherished any kind of quiet time that she might be able to spend with Kaz ever since they had spoken about the kind of things they would like to one day do with each other; what they would like to be for each other one day.
The haunted house that they walked through was a new experience for Inej and she wasn't really sure why people seemed to think that some parts of it were scary. She supposed this one was toned down so that everyone could enjoy the walk to the actual movies, but she did have to admit that some of the decorations were cute. She especially liked the bats and other black animals that seemed to have spots everywhere they turned.
Besides, the fact that her hand was still very snug within Kaz's was something that Inej was very much enjoying. There was something about the way he held her hand that felt natural and right -- and nothing like the ownership that people at the Menagerie had always tried to do to her.
At his question, she gave him a brilliant smile. She knew that his statement meant far more than just the snack items. He truly would get her anything that she wished no matter how difficult it might be. It was a good thing that she wasn't someone who wanted the moon and the world's treasures. She wasn't someone who would take advantage of Kaz and his offers.
"Just something to drink, please." She wasn't ready to let go of his hand, but she would have to in order for him to get them something to drink.
