October was certainly a month that was focused on the supernatural, whether or not the people truly believed. Lucas, of course, truly believed, as he had met witches and werewolves and vampires. He did, however, think of them in the same way that he thought of most people - there were good supernaturals and bad supernaturals, and what you were made of didn't make you good or bad.
The supernatural world was the world that he'd been born into and grew up in, after all.
He'd been very busy at work today, going over paperwork for new arrivals, and making sure that everything was in order. He didn't go to trial here nearly as often as he had back home, but the reams of paperwork that he had to do took up his time just as effectively. It was dark when he finally left the office, which he hadn't planned on, but which also wasn't out of the ordinary. He usually worked more hours than he expected.
Walking down the street, he decided to stop by Hong Kong Kitchen and get some carryout for himself and Paige, since he doubted either of them would feel like cooking as late as he was getting home. It was rather crowded, so he brought up some files on his phone as he waited, hoping he could get just a little more work done.
