"I will come in to make sure you're home and settled in," Legolas told the Hobbit. "I do not wish to impose on Thorin any more than I need to." He did not hate the Dwarf whatsoever, but he did know that Dwarves weren't exactly known for being forgiving. Legolas had done quite a bit to anger the Dwarf, he was well aware of that.
Though he blamed his father's influence and his being a bit naive about the whole thing. He knew he had to shoulder the blame, though.
Bilbo nodded, and stepped into the apartment he shared with Thorin. It seemed rather... empty and quiet. He hadn't heard anything from his Dwarf that he'd be out that evening, so he knew Thorin had to be there somewhere.
...the back porch, of course. Bilbo motioned for Legolas to follow him, and he stepped out onto the porch. He smiled slightly when he found that he was correct, that Thorin was, in fact, there. "Thorin," he said softly. "Legolas is here, but he said he was only going to see me in..." He, too, knew how the Dwarves felt about Legolas and the Elves.
Legolas bowed slightly toward Thorin, and offered a soft "My Lord." He was not going to do anything to offend the Dwarf if he could help it.
