Who: Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield (with a bit of Legolas) Where: Their apartment. When: Sunday, September 3, evening. What: Bilbo comes home after having a drink with the Elf. Warnings: TBD.
Bilbo had asked Legolas if he had wanted to meet up for a drink or two that evening. From what he knew, Elves couldn't feel the effects of alcohol, but he still wanted to offer. He didn't want Legolas to feel out of place here, though he knew the Elf knew Aragorn relatively well. He still wanted to be welcoming and make him feel at home. He had messaged Thorin and told him he may be home a little later than usual from work that day, so he wouldn't worry.
Legolas had insisted on walking Bilbo home after their couple of drinks -- they hadn't had a lot, but he knew Hobbits couldn't hold their alcohol as well as Elves, and he just wanted to make sure he'd gotten home safely. Besides, Legolas lived in the apartments as well, so it wasn't as though he was going out of his way to see Bilbo home.
Once there, Legolas knocked lightly on the apartment door, before realizing Bilbo may be able to let himself in. It was his apartment, after all.
"I'm not sure Thorin locked it," Bilbo told Legolas, and tried the door. He then slipped the key into the lock, and the door in question opened. "Would you like to come in?" he asked. "...I know you and Thorin have had your differences." That was putting it mildly.
