WHO Stiles Stilinski and Abby Arcane (Match-up)
WHAT: A random meeting over Hinkleburgers
WHEN: Saturday, mid-day
WHERE: Hinkles

STATUS: Closed/Ongoing/Match-up


Now that the rain had stopped, Stiles has been out on the streets, trying to get an idea of what houses were available and what their prices were. He knew that it was easier to get a mortgage here in Madison Valley...but he was only nineteen. Hopefully they bankers wouldn't laugh at them the moment they walked in to ask.

Anyway, he'd written some addresses down, about four that he'd seen and liked. He'd have to go over this with Kate, and he'd have to look at her list too. However they were doing this, it was definitely together. Stiles wouldn't want it either way.

It was lunch time now, though, and Stiles was hungry. Very hungry. And since Hinkles had been crying out for him for the last few blocks, he definitely couldn't say no.

He ducked in, the delicious smell of grease filling his nostrils. He ordered the Werewolf Special (what, it wasn't just for werewolves!)

He sat at a nearby booth as he waited for them, looking through the boring nothing that was all over the network.

Madison Valley had thrown quite a bit at them. This time? It almost seemed like endless rain. Luckily the rain had stopped and people could get back to their daily lives. The rain, itself, hadn't actively bothered her. Not when she was from Louisiana and it reminded her a bit of the swamp. Just idle things here and there.

Normally, too, she was trapped in her work. Though there wasn't much for a CDC doctor to do in the city. She was so used to always working and having something to do, something to investigate. Here? She didn't really have that. Something that made her miss home that much more. Though she missed her best friend and Alec Holland the most, even if she wasn't sure how she'd survive in Madison.

Finding herself hungry she decides to head off to Hinkles. It wasn't a place that she normally went to but it was one she decided on. There were so many different things on the menu and she wasn't entirely sure which was good and which wasn't. For now, though, she'd order coffee before deciding on what she wanted.

"You have a favorite here?" She knows that the man might not want to be bothered, but it was a simple question. One that required a simple answer (or a complicated one) depending on who the person was.

Stiles looked over at her from his booth and shrugged. "You know, really the only thing here I ever get are the burgers. They're so much fun and they're also delicious. Fries are good. Never had any of the chicken stuff, so can't tell you there."

He'd been here a ton of times, usually with his werewolf friends who were definitely able to eat more than he was, since he was human.

"And the milkshakes are definitely good. Tasty and thick."

There's a bit of a laugh out of Abby," I think you're the first person that I've heard refer to burgers as fun." She's pretty sure that she's never heard anyone in Marais call them that. Though if someone in Marais wanted a good burger then they tended to go to Delroy's. Her best friend's father made some pretty good food. "Just never wanted to try their chicken?"

Unlike Stiles she's not really visited Hinkles. Most of the time she was grabbing things on the go and then heading straight into work. Today, though, she didn't have to do that. She's also rather grateful that people around town had stopped talking about how she looked like their friend, just older.

"The last time I had a milkshake... I was still living in Marais."

"Nah, never really had the desire."

Looking at her more closely now, he started. She looked a lot like Allison. Not exactly, but enough to be a face-twin. Not that it was particularly strange here to have face-twins, but it still got him every tiime.

"Where's Marais?"

Some place Allison had never been, he was pretty sure.

"And I'm sure you've heard this before, but you look a lot like my friend Allison."

"Chicken isn't to everyone's tastes."

Oh, she can feel him watching her and, unfortunately, it was something that she'd gotten used to over time. Especially when it came to those who knew Allison Argent. Being in Madison Valley was the first time she'd ever run into anyone who shared her features, even if Allison was a bit younger than her.

"Louisiana."

Marais was a little town in Louisiana close to the swamp. She can't really say that she missed it. There were, however, a few people that she missed. Like her best friend, Liz. There was also Alec and Matt too. Not that she's sure how this place would accommodate Matt.

"That's actually one of the first things I heard when I first showed up in Madison." Before they were shoved into the future.

"I like it okay, but when I go out for burgers, I want to get burgers."

Plus, chicken was healthy and he didn't have to worry about healthy yet. He was going to enjoy his years where he could eat anything as long as he could.

"Huh. Never been there. I'm from California."

And other than a couple of times into Mexico, he'd never really been outside of California much. Why would he, when there was so much to do there?

"Yeah, I've had facetwins here before too. It's weird, but it's not...unusual? I mean, it happens here."

Though if Abby heard him say that chicken was healthy then she would probably laugh. Chicken wasn't healthier than burgers in the least bit. The only way that would happen is if someone got grilled chicken instead of fried. Then the chicken would be healthy. Fried foods were not healthy in the least bit.

"Never really visited California. I'm sure it's a nice place."

She's been to Cambodia and a few other places but not California. As a CDC doctor she tended to go around the world wherever she was needed.

"This is the first time I've dealt with a facetwin thing, but it's not the weirdest thing I've dealt with." That, however, would take far too long and she didn't want to keep Stiles too long when he was there trying to relax and eat.

"It's fine, yeah. I don't think it's really anything special, but it's fine. The town I come from is...like, crazy weird. Anything you can think of that's not right? It's probably happened in Beacon Hills."

He looked up at her, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, it's happened to me before. It's always strange when it happens, but at least it's not dangerous or anything."

Stiles certainly didn't mind sitting and talking. He was a very out-going sort of guy and liked having the chance to talk to people, especially some lady who looked just like Allison. That was weird.

"I don't think anyone normally thinks their home town is special." She knows, honestly, that she doesn't think Marais is anything special either. Though when he mentions that the town he came from was crazy weird she just gives a smile. Marais was crazy weird too.

Not dangerous. That? It was a good thing. Even though she's sure there's probably times where it could be dangerous. Face twins wasn't a thing but one never knew who was good and who was evil right on sight. Not unless they were a god.

"If you don't mind I'd like to talk to you more, when I'm not interrupting you while you eat."

"Sure," he said, with a smile. He couldn't help but wonder if Scott had talked to her, but it didn't really matter. She wasn't Allison, and plus, he'd been friends with Allison too, even if he hadn't been as gaga about her as Scott had been.

"I work at Pole Position and I'm usually pretty bored in the afternoons."

He'd enjoy the chance to talk to someone, get to know people better. He'd met quite a few people here, but he was always up to making more friends.
