"There is no General Zod here, dude," Billy told the kid. "Everyone is cool here. I promise." Then, when Jordan insisted that his father wasn't Superman, that he was a reporter for the Daily Planet, Billy just shrugged. "Fine. You're right. You know better than I do."
He wasn't about to argue with the other kid. He didn't want to start off on the wrong foot, even though it seemed like he was already starting to.
"Listen, dude, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you or anything." Even though he knew Clark was Superman didn't mean that he had to press the matter. That wouldn't do anyone any good.
