While Crowley enjoyed sleep, he didn't actually need it and some nights he just wanted to enjoy the night air. At least that was what he'd done when they were home. Here? Well, here he was still trying to figure out exactly where here was, and he did his best to explore the area. He discovered quickly that this area had definite limits that he'd never experienced before. He made a mental note to discuss this new bit of information with Aziraphale as soon as possible, for now, he was exploring the area on foot as seemed to be the custom by so many.
Without thinking too hard about where he was going, he just walked. He found a coffee shop that looked promising. Another thing to bring up with his friend. He found a bookshop, but it appeared to have a cafe attached. Strange. But that put him in mind of seeing if there were any empty storefronts that might work for the new home of A.Z.Fell and Co. He knew that would do wonders to help the angel feel more settled in this strange new world in which they found themselves.
If he were being honest, he was sizing up the town and seeing if he could find places that at least felt a little familiar to help their transition to Madison. Even the stars felt foreign, even if he'd been there when the universe had been set into motion. He had spent so much time on Earth, and in England specifically that he was accustomed to that particular arrangement. The last thing he wanted to find them was a comfortable park bench. Preferably one near water.
With that in mind, he made his way to the park and without meaning to he happened upon a human who appeared to be simply enjoying the night sky. He watched her a few moments then cleared his throat so as not to startle her completely when he stepped out of the shadows and into plain view. "I didn't expect to find anyone else around this time of night."
