Who: Leo Fitz and Jet Slootmaekers What: Just randomly running into each other When: Wednesday afternoon Where: Starbucks Warnings: TBA Status: Closed/Match-up/On-going
It'd been one of those weeks where it'd been a long week and it was only a Wednesday, mostly because everybody who'd had kids show up was still dealing with the kids being gone. Fitz hadn't had any show up this time around, which was an awkward feeling in and of itself. But Fitz was awkward on a good day -- endearingly so, for the most part, but even so -- which meant that feeling awkward wasn't anything new.
People were mostly back to their usual routines, which meant -- among many, many other things -- a very busy line at Starbucks in the middle of the afternoon. Not that he'd expected any different, because people's need for their caffeine was something he couldn't see ever changing. And being in the future only meant that the wait in line was more interesting sometimes.
He was waiting patiently, waiting and looking at his phone as he did so. Looking at the network only made him think about the kids that had and hadn't been there, so he just tucked his phone back into his pocket and glanced towards the front of the line. Still enough people for a decent wait.
Ah, well. Just meant he could play a game of see how long until the stabby barista gets stabby. Personally, he was betting on her getting through another three or four customers before she started at least threatening.
