Frigga hadn't really struggled much with fitting in here, but she also knew that Loki was the biggest reason for that. He had helped her in many ways upon her arrival, and one of those was allowing her to share in the friends that he had already made. As much as she loved their new family and all the friends she had made, he would always come first. Of course, if Thor was still here it would be the two of them, but all she could do now was hope that wherever he was, her oldest son was safe and happy. She was going to take this chance to spend more time with her youngest son and make up for the mistakes she had made while she could. When she mentioned those mistakes to Loki, he would always brush it off. But she knew there had been more she could have done, and she was determined to show him now just how much she really did love him. She had asked him to have dinner with her that evening, because there were a few things that she wanted to talk to him about. One of them, she really wasn't looking forward to talking about, but she wanted to make sure that he heard it from her and not from someone else. She knew just how much that would sting her son, and the last thing she ever wanted to do was hurt him in any way. So, she would just brave the awkwardness to come and hope that the conversation would end on a happy note. And of course, the other thing she wanted to talk to him about would be super easy, and she was sure that it would be rather easy to get through. While she was rather good on the crafting side, her cooking skills still weren't where she would like them to be. So, she had ordered a small lunch in for them, and hoped that he would be happy with her selection. She had chosen a salad, a fruit tray and some rather expensive wine for the evening. It seemed like something that would be as close to the feasts that they would have back in Asgard that she could get here. And spending time with him always made her think of home, so it seemed appropriate to choose food along those same lines. The tables was prepared, and she was sitting on the couch waiting for him to come in. |
