Nate had to admit that it was nice to have someone routing for him again, and he was doing the same thing for Doc. All he wanted was for his friends and newfound family to be happy and safe here in Madison. Of course, there would always be some danger, but that was just a part of life. So, the best he could was wish them all well, and be there for them when they needed him. So, that is what he was determined to do.
"Thanks, mate" he replied, genuinely be grateful the other man's encouragement. "I made the mistakes once before of putting career before family and I didn't want to do that again" he admitted, allowing himself to be more open here than he had ever been back home. Only his team knew these details, so it was a big step for him to share this side of his past.
"It's nice to have someone else around that appreciates a good whiskey as much as I do" he added with another chuckle.
