Clawdeen still had to pinch herself from time to time to remind herself that this new life was real. She wasn't about to claim that everything was perfect here, but this place certainly seemed to be more good than bad. And for her, that was saying something. Of course, she missed her father and some of her other friends, but she had Deuce here and she seemed to be building an entirely new family for herself. So, she couldn't help feeling like she had gotten very lucky with her new life. One of the more recent additions to this new life was this job, she had managed to find that seemed like the perfect fit. Not only was she able to help other animals, but she was also working with another werewolf. It was so nice to feel like she wasn't alone anymore. Other wolves here actually liked her and wanted to be her friend. She had arrived early for work and stayed over every single day since she had been hired, because she was just so excited to do all that she could to help. The last thing she wanted to do was to let her new bosses down, so she in true Clawdeen fashion, she was overdoing it. It was a good thing that she had boundless energy, and really didn't need much sleep. If she had been anything other than a werewolf, she would probably be exhausted. Today hadn't been any different; she arrived almost an hour early for her shift with Crescent in tow. Fortunately, the young wolf cub was very well behaved and seemed to understand that Clawdeen was helping these other animals. It was now approaching time for her shift to end, but she showed no signs of being ready to leave. She was currently in one of the offices, reading through a file on the next animal to be cared for. Crecent was curled up on one of the chairs, waiting patiently for the time to come for them to go home. Of course, once she got home Clawdeen would dote attention on the young cub. After all, she didn't want Crecent to feel neglected just because she had a job now. |
