Clem and Henry had been spending more of their time inside this weekend. She didn't normally go out at night, but sometimes when things like this happened it could have dangerous side effects. So, she thought that it was best to stick close to home, so that neither of them got hurt again. Of course, she had still taken Henry out into the yard and such, but she hadn't ventured much further than that all weekend. She considered it being cautious more than being afraid and she didn't really care what anyone else might thing about it. All that mattered to her was what her family thought, and they never seemed to mind that she wasn't really like other girls. So, she would just continue being herself and hopefully other people outside of her family would start seeing the real her as well. Spending so much time at home lately had also led Clem to pick up a new hobby; she had started teaching herself how to cook. Her main reason for it was that she had wanted to take care of her dad, even though he had told her that she didn't have to. She knew how hard he worked, and she wanted to do whatever she could to make his life at home a little easier. With that in mind, she had did everything she could to make dinner for the two of them. For the most part she had done okay, but then she realized that everything was finished, and she had forgotten to pre-heat the oven so that she could bake the can of rolls she had bought. "Dad....I forgot the rolls. Dinner is going to be a few more moments" she called through the house. She wasn't sure if he was still in the living room, or if he had made his way into the bathroom to wash up for dinner. She felt so bad, because she had wanted everything to be perfect....or as close as she could get it anyway. The casserole she had made wasn't anything fancy and a lot of the ingredients had been canned, but she was slowly learning more and more. She was just making her way to the oven to pre-heat when she dropped the can of rolls out of her hand. She looked down at the floor and started to tear up a little, because the can busted. Of course, Henry could tell she was upset and rushed right to her side. |
